About Robert Royston and Laureen Baldovi - East Coast Swing is a fast swing dance that is enjoying a resurgence of popularity across the generations. This 90-minute instructional video teaches you enough to look good and have fun on the dance floor, even if you're just beginning. Robert Royston and Laureen Baldovi teach well, breaking down each move into rhythm, step, and technique, and showing both the leader's and the follower's footwork. They start with the most basic steps (triple and rock), then progress to a series of turns and wraps, and finally some fancier, intermediate patterns, such as the "sugarfoot." They teach plenty of technique for both leaders and followers, so you're not just learning steps, but dancing them as well. After the beginning section and then again at the end, they practice with you to music.
